Golden Barrel Products - Warehouse Forklift Operator

Essential Job Functions:

• Assists shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, checking in product and matching orders
• Reads customer orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed and/or shipped
• Moving materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas
• Sorting and placing materials or products on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code
• Filling requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to shipping or to designated storage area
• Ensuring warehouse is accessible and safe for customer traffic
• Assembles orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or relocating orders to a holding area or shipping department
• Marks materials with identifying information using appropriate method
• Assists in counting of physical inventory
• Completes requisition forms to order supplies from other departments
• Organizes warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times
• Wears the proper safety equipment
• Any other duties as requested, directed or assigned by the manager or supervisor
• Safety training and certifications as required
• Designated Safety Sensitive Position

Job Requirements:

Education and Experience (Licenses and Certifications):

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous warehouse experience

Equipment to Be Used:

• Forklift, high-lift and pallet jack

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Working knowledge of methods, materials and tools related to warehousing
• Ability to perform manual work requiring periods of extensive physical exertion
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
• Ability to work under stress with interruptions and deadlines
• Ability to operate equipment safely
• Ability to understand and interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form as they pertain to production
• Ability to master basic math skills

Essential Physical Demands:

• Prolonged periods standing and walking, using tools and performing repetitive actions.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs at a time.
• Visual acuity to read instructions and operate machines.

Working Hours:

• Standard working hours for 1st shift are: 7am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday and as necessary to complete the requirements of the position
• Overtime may be required and hours are subject to change based on company needs
• Employees are required to clock in 10 minutes before the beginning of the shift

Offered compensation: $18.50/hr
