Golden Barrel Products - Warehouse Yard Jockey

Essential Job Functions:

• Transports truck trailers with product and materials between warehouse and other on site locations using yard truck. (On Average this function represents approximately 65% - 70% of the work day).
• Assists shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, checking in product, matching orders.
• Reads customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped
• Moving materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
• Sorting and placing materials or products on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Filling requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to shipping or to designated storage area.
• Ensuring warehouse is accessible and safe for customer traffic.
• Assembles orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or relocating orders to a holding area or shipping department.
• Marks materials with identifying information using appropriate method.
• Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program.
• Assists in counting of physical inventory
• Completes requisition forms to order supplies from other departments.
• Prepares parcels for mailing.
• Always organizes warehouse and work area for orderliness.
• Wears the proper safety equipment.

Job Requirements:

Education & Experience:

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Previous warehouse experience

Licenses / Certifications

• Yard Truck

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

• Basic math and reading skills
• Ability to operate equipment safely
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.

Equipment to Be Used:

• Forklift, High lift, Yard truck, Pallet Jack, Narrow Aisle Forklift

Training Required:

• Any specialized safety or other training required
• Yard Truck

Working Hours:

• Standard working hours for 2nd shift are: 2pm to 10pm Monday through Friday and as necessary to complete the requirements of the position
• Overtime may be required, and hours are subject to change based on company needs
• Employees are required to clock in 10 minutes before the beginning of the shift

Offered compensation: $21.50/hr
