What are the responsibilities and job description for the Morning Baker position at Mère?
Mère [pronounced ‘meh-r’]: from the French meaning “mother”, as in the “mother dough” of baking - also in reference to the honorary title of “Mère ”, which was given to exceptionally talented female chefs in France in the 18th-20th centuries. And of course, in homage to our own mothers, their mothers, and all those before and to come.
Opened late September, 7am-7pm daily. Our bakery/cafe focuses on fresh breads and pastries made daily while providing beverages, sandwiches, salads, and take-and-bake meals.
Shift Overview:
- 4:00AM - 2:00PM
- 4 x10hr shifts, one weekend day necessary
- $22-$24/hr

Description:
- Opening up the kitchen
- Morning proof, bake, and garnishing of pastries
- Portioning and baking of baked goods for sale
- Laminating and shaping croissants
- Working closely with savory prep team for all breakfast pastry mixes and prep

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
