Cost Accountant

M.H. Eby, Inc.- a leading manufacturer of aluminum trailers and truck bodies is seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and analyzing cost information to provide insights into the financial health of the organization. This role is crucial in helping our company maintain cost efficiency and improve profitability.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Analyze bill of materials and compare labor estimates to actuals on completed jobs and report the results to management.
• Analyze, review, and maintain accurate purchased materials and manufactured part costs in the ERP system.
• Assist in estimating future bills of material costs and labor for anticipated future builds.
• Review and analyze truck body installation revenue and costs to ensure proper margins are being maintained.
• Key contributor in physical inventory observations.
• Proactively identify key metrices that need to be tracked and provide regular reporting to management
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to discuss analysis with production, engineering, and sales
  
  

Education And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Manufacturing experience is a plus
• Experience using Epicor ERP Software is a plus
• Possess strong mathematical skills and an understanding of unit of measure conversions
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with an intermediate knowledge of Excel
• A mechanical aptitude to review engineered drawings.
