What are the responsibilities and job description for the Core Handler position at M&D?

The primary responsibilities of this role are related to Core Handling. Additionally, the person selected for this position will have warehouse responsibilities assigned, as described below.

Review credited core report
Confirm correct part numbers for each core
Confirm core is tagged correctly
Place cores in assigned bin
Pull, box, and ship cores to the appropriate M&D location
Loading and unloading transport trucks using forklift, hydraulic lift, and dolly
Stock receiving - Verifying parts/part numbers and proper count received
Inventory stocking - placing parts in the proper warehouse location
Order pulling product from warehouse for production, sales staff, and customers
Keeping the warehouse and parts department clean and orderly

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
1 year experience in automotive or diesel part or similar
Ability to perform math (addition, subtraction, multiplication)
Ability to exercise judgement and to work independently
Must demonstrate consistency, accuracy, and follow-through
Knowledge of cores related to diesel engine parts preferred
Willingness to be trained and certified to utilize forklift equipment
Computer literacy with the ability to learn new software programs
Ability to move, lift, and carry objects up to 50lbs
Ability to continuously repeat motions
