Job purpose
The Accounting Assistant provides administrative support to the Financial Analysts and Accounting Manager with daily administrative tasks. To be successful this person must be detail oriented and have strong organizational skills.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to
- Maintain and update records, logs, files and forms
- Performs administrative tasks, including filing, printing, reporting and emailing
- Performs data entry
- Assist with mailing and fedex as necessary
- Crosstrain in other departments/positions
- Provide assistance as needed for general office or accounting projects
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Prior administrative experience preferable
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills
- Must be able to perform accurate calculations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
Working conditions
- Fast-paced office environment
- Occasional requirement to perform under deadline-driven time constraints.
- May be requested to work overtime and weekends from time to time
Physical requirements
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel and talk or hear
- The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
