Industrial Custodian

This role will perform cleaning activities of the entire facility including, but not limited to, office space, production floor, restrooms, break room, parking lot/grounds. Assists with setting up areas for meetings and other activities. Performs housekeeping, cleaning, and painting tasks in accordance with all Company safety policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs routine custodial duties to include dusting, mopping, vacuuming, surface cleaning, sanitizing throughout the entire facility
• Restocking paper and soap and sanitizing supplies throughout the facility
• Empties trash receptacles, disposes trash into dumpsters and bags trash for proper disposal
• Uses common tools to perform housekeeping operations, including but not limited to: wet and dry mops, brooms, floor scrubbers, vacuum cleaners, cleaning supplies, towels, steel wool, carts, and trash cans.
• Performs cleaning operations in the office areas, the production floor, outside of the facility, and other property areas as assigned by the Plant Manager.
• Keeps restrooms clean and stocks them with supplies.
• Cleans the kitchen / breakroom areas and stocks the area with supplies.
• Removes trash and other rubbish and places them in the proper refuse receptacles.
• Cleans windows.
• Performs dusting of furniture and building hardware as assigned.
• Relocates light furniture as required to properly clean assigned areas.
• Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices
• Performs cleaning functions specific to the assigned facilities and/or based on seasonal/ project requirements
• Occasional snow removal, sidewalk salting, and landscaping work.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment is required.
• Proficient knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances required
• Must be reliable & self-motivated
• Physically agile and dexterous
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• High School diploma or equivalent required
