* * * THIS POSITION IS FOR INTERNAL CANDIDATES ONLY - CATEGORICALLY FUNDED POSITION * * * DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: Under the immediate direction of the Director of Secondary Education or designee. The position of Academic Coach is specializing in fostering literacy skills within the domain of mathematics. This role is instrumental in supporting students to enhance their comprehension, critical thinking, and communication abilities within the realm of mathematical concepts. The ideal candidate will provide tailored guidance and strategies to empower students to excel in mathematical literacy. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • Three years or more of teaching experience in secondary education • Clear Single Subject credential in Mathematics • Appropriate certification to teach English language learners (CLAD, BCLAD, SB1969 certificate, BCC or LDS certificate)
