Responsibilities
- Perform general accounting functions including journal entries, reconciliations and month-end close
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Prepare financial reports, balance sheets and profit and loss statements
- Manage accounts payable and receivable transactions
- Reconcile bank statements, intercompany accounts and other financial data
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
- Support audit preparation and provide required financial documentation
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures and applicable standards
- Contribute to process improvements and team initiatives
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- At least 2 years of general accounting experience
- Strong grasp of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- CPA licence or current CPA studies is an advantage but not required
- Knowledge of Australian taxation is a plus
