POSITION SUMMARY
The Technology Support Technician Intern is an entry-level position designed to train and encourage an individual pursuing a technology-based career, while simultaneously providing valuable services to Lynchburg City Schools. The position is available to students currently enrolled in an accredited, Virginia K-12 school. The student must be in and remain in good academic standing.
This position will assist with all summer textbook and IT tasks- inventory, repairs, deliveries.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Textbook and Chromebook Inventory
Chromebook repair
Preparing new textbooks, consumables and chromebooks for deployment
Removal of non-adopted books and materials
Delivery of textbook materials and chromebooks when needed
Assisting the IT team as needed with other tasks

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Eligible students will be in good standing with school Administrators
Must be at least 16 years old
Must be a licensed driver or have reliable transportation to and from work Monday-Friday
Must be able to work both as part of a team or independently as needed.
Must be available June through mid-August, with reasonable time off for vacations or other activities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Familiarity with Google applications
Willingness to learn new applications and skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
