Role Description
This is a temporary, on-site position located in Lynchburg, VA, for a School Bus Driver at Lynchburg City Schools. As a School Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, extracurricular activities, and field trips. You will ensure the vehicle is properly maintained, adhere to traffic and safety regulations, and provide a safe and friendly environment for student passengers.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in driving, including Truck Driving and Defensive Driving
- Possession of a valid CDL Class B license
- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills, ensuring a positive interaction with students, parents, and school staff
- Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance and safety procedures
- Dedication to child safety and a courteous, professional disposition
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a school bus driver or similar role is a plus
