We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Estimator to join our team in Pittsburgh. This individual will play a critical role in preparing accurate and competitive estimates for mechanical construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in mechanical systems and a deep understanding of estimating software, particularly Trimble.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical systems including HVAC, piping, and plumbing.
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate scope and pricing.
- Utilize Trimble estimating software to streamline and enhance the estimating process.
- Participate in bid reviews and presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain and update historical cost data and pricing databases.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical estimating, preferably in commercial or industrial construction.
- Proficiency with Trimble estimating tools is required.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and construction processes.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple estimates simultaneously.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
