Estimator (Mechanical & Plumbing)
Overview
We are seeking a motivated Estimator to support preconstruction and estimating efforts for mechanical and plumbing construction projects. This role is ideal for an early-career professional looking to develop technical estimating skills while working closely with senior estimators, project managers, and operations teams.
- Assist in preparing cost estimates for mechanical and/or plumbing construction projects
- Perform quantity takeoffs using construction drawings, MEP specifications, and bid documents
- Enter and manage estimate data using estimating software and Excel
- Solicit, review, and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotations
- Support bid preparation, documentation, and proposal submissions
- Maintain well-organized estimating files, cost databases, and documentation
- Participate in internal estimate reviews and project handoff meetings
- Learn and apply established estimating procedures, standards, and best practices
- 1 year of experience in construction estimating or a related role (mechanical or plumbing preferred)
- Working knowledge of estimating software (e.g., Quote Express, AutoBid/AutoBid Pro)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret basic construction drawings and MEP specifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Field experience in mechanical or plumbing construction
- Interest in long-term career growth within estimating or preconstruction

- Full-time, onsite position
- Typical working hours: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Competitive hourly rate: $38.50 - $57.00
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available)
Salary : $120,000 - $160,000
