A leading mechanical contractor in the Charlotte market is seeking an experienced HVAC or Plumbing Estimator to support the preconstruction team by preparing accurate and competitive estimates for commercial and industrial mechanical construction projects.

This role is ideal for an estimator with experience pricing HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems who can analyze project documents, identify opportunities, and help secure profitable work.

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for HVAC, plumbing, and piping projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and material pricing.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotations.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions.
• Develop conceptual and detailed estimates for design-build and plan-spec projects.
• Collaborate with project managers, operations teams, and company leadership during bid reviews.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as required.
• Prepare bid proposals and supporting documentation.
• Maintain accurate estimating databases and historical cost records.
• Analyze project risks and develop pricing strategies.
• Support project handoff meetings following successful awards.
  
  

• 3 years of estimating experience within mechanical construction.
• Experience estimating HVAC, plumbing, process piping, or sheet metal systems.
• Strong understanding of commercial and industrial mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
