What are the responsibilities and job description for the Geotechnical Project Manager/Director position at LVI Associates?
About the Opportunity
We are representing a well-established, highly reputable, family-owned engineering consultancy with a strong Midwest presence and decades of success delivering geotechnical and construction services. The firm is experiencing continued growth within its geotechnical group, which is now its largest and fastest-growing discipline, and is seeking a senior-level leader to help shape its next phase.
This role can be positioned at Senior Project Manager or Director level, depending on experience. It offers a rare opportunity to combine technical excellence, project leadership, and strategic influence within a flexible, people-first culture.
This position plays a critical role in leading geotechnical projects and teams while remaining technically engaged. Due to the collaborative size of the organization, senior leaders are expected to stay hands-on while also helping guide team growth, client relationships, and operational strategy.
Depending on seniority, responsibilities may lean more heavily toward either project execution or broader group leadership-but this is not a hybrid expectation. The firm is open to hiring the right-level individual and aligning scope accordingly.
