Client Relations & Business Development
- Deliver a client-centered experience, ensuring responsiveness, professionalism, and strong relationship building.
- Represent the firm positively through interactions with clients and participation in relevant professional, business, or civic organizations.
- Identify opportunities for additional services and support strategic business development initiatives.
- Produce engineering design elements aligned with project scope and performance expectations.
- Prepare accurate and complete construction documents, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Provide timely project consultation, including coordination of schedules, deadlines, site surveys, punch lists, and building code compliance.
- Execute a consistent QA/QC process, including reviewing drawings throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain and enhance standards of engineering quality, accuracy, and consistency.
- Complete assignments efficiently and within required schedules.
- Assist in preparing engineering proposals outlining scope, timeline, and labor budgets.
- Assemble, coordinate, and monitor engineering project schedules.
- Work closely with project engineers to ensure scope alignment and thorough execution.
- Conduct research and development to stay current with industry trends, construction methods, materials, and evolving technologies.
- Collaborate with team members to develop new methods improving efficiency, constructability, and system dependability.
- Enhance quality control methods and support their adoption across teams.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support project and organizational goals.
- Promote and contribute to the development of production standards.
- Act as a mentor, offering coaching, training, and support to help team members grow their technical and professional skills.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Deep knowledge of building materials, specifications, construction techniques, and engineered building systems.
- Understanding of architecture and engineering design disciplines.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA 170, National Electrical Code (NEC), and applicable healthcare codes.
- Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and completeness in all work.
- High adaptability and flexibility in response to changing priorities or schedules.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
- Licensed Professional Engineer in any U.S. jurisdiction.
- NCEES certification required.
- 5 years of experience designing engineered building systems.
- Proficiency with standard office technology.
- Experience with:
- AutoCAD and Revit
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Outlook)
- Photometric analysis software
