A prominent consulting firm is seeking a seasoned Air Quality Department Lead to oversee and grow our air quality services, with a strong focus on upstream oil and gas operations. This leadership role combines technical expertise with business development responsibilities, offering the opportunity to manage a team, drive client relationships, and expand service offerings.
- Lead department operations, including staffing, budgeting, and QA/QC.
- Manage complex air permitting and compliance projects for upstream oil & gas and other industrial sectors.
- Provide senior-level technical guidance on air quality regulations, emissions inventories, and dispersion modeling.
- Develop new business opportunities through client engagement and strategic proposals.
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients while identifying key pursuits.
- Present technical findings and strategic recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Atmospheric Science, or related field.
- 10 years of experience in air quality permitting and compliance, with significant upstream oil & gas expertise.
- Proven leadership and project management skills.
- Strong understanding of federal and state air regulations (Clean Air Act, NSPS, NESHAP, Title V).
- Experience with air dispersion modeling tools (AERMOD, CALPUFF) preferred.
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
- Ability to combine technical leadership with business development.
