Core Responsibilities
- Architect and execute strategic business development initiatives that expand the firm’s presence across the Houston region
- Cultivate and maintain high-value client relationships, positioning the firm for long-term partnerships and repeat business
- Identify, pursue, and track new opportunities through proactive networking, industry engagement, and market research
- Represent the firm at client meetings, industry events, and community engagements to elevate brand visibility and generate leads
- Develop and manage a robust pipeline within CRM systems, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting to leadership
- Collaborate with marketing and leadership teams to align pursuit strategies with broader business objectives
- Strengthen regional brand awareness through targeted outreach, strategic positioning, and relationship cultivation
- Coordinate internal resources and subject matter experts to support pursuit efforts and client engagement strategies
- Deliver regular insights and reporting on market trends, pipeline activity, and growth opportunities
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field
- 5–12 years of experience in business development, preferably within the AEC industry
- Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships that drive revenue growth
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management capabilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience in architecture, engineering, or construction (AEC) environments
- Established network within the Houston market
- Experience supporting pursuit strategies, proposals, or marketing initiatives
- Familiarity with regional public and private sector clients
