The Housekeeper is responsible for performing daily housekeeping duties to ensure the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable condition.

What You’ll Do As An LVMG Housekeeper
- Clean and disinfect resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas such as offices, lounges, elevators, and dining spaces.
- Empty trash, dust surfaces, vacuum carpets and hallways, mop floors, and sanitize frequently touched items (e.g., tables, chairs, ledges, thermostats, fire extinguishers).
- Clean specialized areas including bathing facilities, soiled utility rooms, isolation rooms, and discharge rooms.
- Assist with room turnover cleanings and prepare guest rooms, cottages, and community center areas as scheduled.
- Provide support to Independent Living and Residential Living housekeeping teams as needed, including weekend and relief coverage.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, mops, and other tools safely and effectively.
- Participate in all mandatory in-services and attend optional training sessions as directed by the Supervisor.
- Must follow all safety protocols and infection control procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
What You’ll Need as an LVMG Housekeeper:
Education | Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience working in a long-term care facility is preferred.
- Must be able to communicate clearly and respectfully with residents, families, visitors, and team members.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English is required.
- Must have adequate vision and hearing to perform job duties safely and effectively.
- Requires the ability to stand, walk, turn, stoop, and move intermittently throughout the day, often within confined areas.
- Must be able to push, pull, and lift 50 pounds using safe handling practices.
- Must demonstrate flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- May be necessary to assist with resident evacuation during emergency situations.
- Complies with organizational health and safety requirements, including vaccination policies or valid exemptions.
