What You will do as an LVMG Dining Room Manager:
- Manages dining rooms and Dining Room Supervisor to ensure all meals are served in accordance with food safety standards while maintaining the highest level of customer service.
- Ensures standards are adhered to regarding staff uniforms, presentation, and behaviors.
- Schedule appropriate servers and DSA’s for various positions.
- Responsible for hiring of server and DSA staff.
- Meet with clients to plan the menus, set-up and breakdown, scheduling of event timeline and staff for all catering functions.
- Support executive chef on menu creations for catering and resident events.
- Conducts weekly catering meetings with the interdisciplinary team to communicate event needs.
- Supports the training of servers of proper serving techniques using 5-star guidelines.
- Conducts team member performance evaluations and performance management for direct reports including team member counseling and progressive discipline.
- Engages with customers to ensure satisfaction in areas such as quality, service, and problem solution.
- Responsible for keeping all work areas and cooking equipment clean and orderly.
- Provides culinary support for other dining functions as requested.
- Ensures that all HACCP documentation is completed accurately in a timely manner including temp logs, hot/cold hold and refrigeration/freezer logs.
- Attends all training in-services and classes as required.
- Maintains compliance in all LVMG policies and practices including, but not limited to, Code of Integrity Corporate Compliance Guidelines, HIPAA regulations, resident rights, and confidentiality.
- Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and procedures (HACCP, ServSafe, Safety Procedures)

What You'll Need as an LVMG Dining Room Manager:
Education | Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent. Certification or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of managerial experience in fine dining, hospitality, or senior living environments.
- Proven experience in planning and executing catering functions is required.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling practices in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Understanding of plate presentation and visual standards for high-quality food preparation and service.
- Proficient in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
- ServSafe Certification required; must be obtained within 90 days of hire if not already certified.
- Demonstrated discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment in handling sensitive and confidential matters.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively and tactfully with individuals at all levels, including residents, staff, families, external vendors/authorities, and the public.
- Strong attention to detail in writing, proofreading, managing priorities, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment, demonstrating a cooperative, respectful, and compassionate approach to colleagues and resident care.
- Skilled in the use of standard office equipment and technology.
- Maintains professionalism, composure, and a positive attitude when managing challenging situations.
- Physically able to move throughout the workday and lifting items up to 25 pounds using safe handling practices.
- May be necessary to assist with resident evacuation during emergency situations
