We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Transportation Coordinator who is organized, communication-focused, and able to manage scheduling and dispatch operations in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do
- Develop, implement, and manage a computer-based transportation routing and scheduling system for campus vans and contracted providers
- Design and optimize daily, weekly, and event transportation routes for efficiency and timeliness
- Assign transportation based on insurance coverage, location, and vehicle availability
- Coordinate dispatching and monitor all trips for accuracy and on-time performance
- Communicate daily schedules, updates, and changes to drivers, staff, residents, and external partners
- Make reminder calls 30 minutes prior to scheduled pickups and assist with resident readiness and transport coordination
- Ensure residents are prepared for transport (mobility equipment, oxygen, appropriate readiness, etc.)
- Respond quickly to delays, cancellations, emergencies, and last-minute schedule changes
- Maintain accurate scheduling records and update transportation software systems
- Track issues, document concerns, and support process improvement initiatives
- Coordinate communication with insurance providers to ensure compliance with coverage requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1–2 years of experience in administrative support, scheduling, business office, or related role preferred
- Experience in healthcare, long-term care, or transportation coordination preferred
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn scheduling systems and software
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work effectively with staff, residents, drivers, and external partners
