Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with established recipes and standards
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to ensure a positive experience
- Manage POS systems such as Toast for accurate order entry and payment processing
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and food handling regulations
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
- Restock bar supplies efficiently during shifts to ensure smooth service flow
- Assist with catering, banquet, or nightclub events by serving drinks and supporting event staff as needed
Skills
- Proven experience as a bartender in fine dining, nightclubs, or banquet environments is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of POS systems including Toast
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy hours
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, retail math calculations, and measuring ingredients accurately
- Familiarity with food industry terminology such as serving, catering, brewing, and hospitality practices
- Experience with retail math for inventory management and sales tracking
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members effectively
