This position will independently execute structural analyses, design packages, and technical documentation while continuing to expand understanding of full project lifecycles. - Independently prepares final structural engineering calculations and final structural engineering construction drawings, and technical reports including Structural Condition Assessments, Seismic Risk Assessments and Forensic Investigations and Evaluations. As the Engineer of Record, will stamp projects commensurate with experience and technical skillset.
- Leads and completes structural engineering tasks with minimal oversight.
- Participates in project proposals, scoping activities, and development of work plans.
- Coordinates directly with clients, consultants, and internal team members to support project needs.
- Assists with site visits for structural observations of essential facilities as dictated by the current building code.
- Mentors, advises, and delegates tasks to unlicensed engineering staff with increasing independence and efficiency.
- Contributes to multidisciplinary collaboration and maintains a broad understanding of overall project objectives.
- Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University; or a minimum of three years related AEC industry or related industry experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license and Structural Engineer license (S.E.) with a minimum of two years of structural experience following licensure.
- A minimum of five years of AutoCAD and Revit software experience is preferred.
- A minimum of five years of experience in the use of Finite Element modeling software (e.g., RISA- 3D), as well as ancillary structural software such as ENERCALC is required.
- Ability to work necessary hours to complete work within required time frames with regard to deadlines.
- Computer proficient with knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint).
- Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to provide information across multiple groups in the Company.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- Valid driver license and clean driving record.
