Role Description
This is a part-time hybrid role for a Medical Biller located in Joliet, IL, with some work-from-home flexibility. The Medical Biller will be responsible for managing medical/psychiatric billing, processing insurance claims, handling denials, coding using ICD-10, and ensuring compliance with Medicare regulations. Daily tasks include credentialing, verifying patient insurance, submitting and following up on claims, and resolving billing issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology and ICD-10 coding
- Experience with handling Insurance claims and managing Denials
- Understanding of Medicare regulations and billing procedures
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a hybrid work environment
- Bachelor's degree or relevant certification in medical billing or related field preferred
