Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid position for a Medical Biller, based in Schaumburg, IL, with flexibility for partial remote work. The Medical Biller will be responsible for tasks such as charge entry, payment posting, clearinghouse and payer rejection handling, denial management, appeals management, A/R follow-up, and generating analysis reports. The role also involves maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with payer requirements, and collaborating with team members to optimize revenue cycle workflows.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Medical Terminology and ICD-10 coding
- Strong understanding of Denials management and insurance claim resolution
- In-depth knowledge of insurance processes, including Medicare and other payer guidelines
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail for accurate data entry and reporting
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to resolve claims-related inquiries
- Experience with medical billing software and systems is highly desirable
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification or equivalent is a plus
