Job Opportunity - Manufacturing Engineer - Electronics Manufacturing (Solar) - Phoenix, AZ
I'm looking for a skilled Manufacturing Engineer with demonstrated experience - particularly from the solar industry - to help accelerate my client's manufacturing processes for new product introduction.
This person will work closely with the Operations and Product Development teams to identify and lead cost reduction steps, quality improvement efforts, and help develop and test the functionality of electrical test equipment for manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and lead cost reduction steps and quality improvement efforts (ie labor, materials, etc)
- Test the functionality of electrical equipment based on system diagrams and test parameters
- Create conceptual designs for internal test equipment using block diagrams, circuit schematics, and test boards
- Travel as need be to solar tracker sites to perform troubleshooting, commissioning, retrofitting, and other technical support.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or similar (Electronics)
- At least 3 years’ experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably with similar product type (solar/renewable hardware, electronics, motor controllers, etc)
- Knowledge of electronic product assembly processes and best practices.
- Experience optimizing manufacturing processes & DFM
- Experience with designing test fixtures & assemblies
