Responsibilities
- Developing, evaluating, and improving manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
- Analyzing and planning work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designing layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
- Applying statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
- Collaborating with design engineering regarding product tooling and design to ensure effective production methods.
- Providing technical expertise or support related to manufacturing, including assisting with new product introductions and training of production personnel.
- Incorporating new manufacturing processes to improve existing operations.
- Traveling to other manufacturing plants to support product launches, process improvements, or troubleshooting efforts.
- Experience in a similar role within the Automotive, Off-highway, or Vehicle sectors.
- Demonstrable proficiency in understanding blueprints, technical specifications, and material resources.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a strong focus on quality, performance, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks simultaneously and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both internal teams and external partners.
- Ability and willingness to travel to other manufacturing plants, as required.
- Proficiency in using computer software and applications, including CAD, CAM, and other engineering design tools.
