Information Technology Specialist
Location:
Santa Fe Indian Health Center. Santa Fe, NM 87505 (Primary Duty Station)
Cochiti Health Clinic. Cochiti, NM 87072 (As Needed)
San Felipe Health Clinic. San Felipe Pueblo, NM 87001 (As Needed)
Santa Clara Health Center. Espanola, NM 87532 (As needed)
Pay Rate: $ per hour
Schedule: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday.
15-minute personal break times are allowed (one in the morning and one in the afternoon)
30-minute lunch break during the 8-hour clinic day.
Contract Length: 1 year with the option to extend.
Benefits: $ per hour for Health and Welfare, PTO (5 days at 6 months, 5 more at year), sick leave accrued 56 hours per year, and holiday pay.
Job Description:
The Information Technology Specialist provides technical support, systems administration, and network maintenance across multiple Indian Health Service sites. This role oversees Windows systems, virtual machine cloud environments, RPMS/EHR support, and helpdesk operations to ensure secure, continuous functioning of critical IT infrastructure.
Requirements:
Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent.
1 year of experience in the role .
Certificates as a VM cloud server professional, and Certificates of Certified Network Specialist (CNA).
Ability to obtain and maintain full administrative access to servers, network resources, and backup systems.
Responsibilities:
Support, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows systems, applications, RPMS and EHR environments.
Manage VM cloud servers, including configuration, monitoring, backups, and disaster recovery.
Provide Tier 1 support via ServiceNow: diagnose software, hardware, and network issues for end-users.
Assist with network troubleshooting, performance evaluation, and security monitoring.
Perform system administration tasks: server installation, configuration, maintenance, and documentation.
Execute backup operations, verify system integrity, and manage user accounts in Active Directory.
Apply OS patches, upgrades, and optimize hardware resources as needed.
Provide user training, collaborate with IT staff, and support operational and project needs across assigned sites.
