Qualifications:

• Must possess master’s degree or higher in Clinical Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy or related field from an accredited institution.
• Must possess a valid license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or related license.
• Must be licensed in the State of Idaho and be up to date on all continuing education requirements.
• Complete and successfully pass an Idaho Health and Welfare Enhanced background check at bcu.dhw.idaho.gov

Schedule:

• Normal business hours are M-F, 9am-5pm. The clinician is preferred to work primarily within these hours, however, the clinician may elect to work some hours outside these normal business hours, such as evenings and weekends, with supervisor approval.
• Hire date to begin after new hire paperwork is received, employee becomes fully licensed, and criminal background check is cleared.
• Hours per week: This position may be full-time, however the employee may not work more than 40 hours per week without approval from the clinical director. This position requires a minimum of 24 hours per week, or three working days per week.

Responsibilities of the Clinician:

• The clinician will provide comprehensive diagnostic, biopsychosocial, or substance abuse assessments and provide a diagnosis for clients using the most current version of the DSM-V-TR, ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards, ASAM, PHQ-9 and/or any other relevant self-assessments for the client during intake and throughout treatment as clinically appropriate.
• The clinician will facilitate the coordination of care between a client’s primary care physician, parents, teachers, treatment team members, and any other collateral contacts pertinent to the client’s behavioral health or substance use treatment. The clinician will document these efforts in the client’s chart as required.
• The clinician will make appropriate treatment and level of care referrals according to agency protocols as the need is identified during the assessment and intake process.
• The clinician will provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy services to clients and complete psychotherapy log notes each day as a requirement of providing the service. Psychotherapy will be provided in office, in a client’s home, or via telehealth as appropriate to a client’s behavioral health needs.
• The clinician will provide services through evidence-based/research-based modalities.
• The clinician will provide individual, family, and group psychoeducation to improve the quality of life of the clients.
• The clinician will provide reports, notes, and other documentation as required by the agency and state protocols. This includes assessments, progress notes, treatment plans, treatment plan reviews, billing sheets, and discharge summaries.
• The clinician will utilize Electronic Health Records(EHR) notation and templates created and selected by the agency or other regulatory entity.
• The clinician will abide by the ethical codes and standards of their governing and licensing boards.(i.e. NASW and NBCC Code of Ethics)
• The clinician will obtain annual continuing education credits as required by regulatory boards in order to maintain licensure.
• The clinician will participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings.
• The clinician will consult the direct supervisor or clinical director when a clinical staffing case is needed outside of staff meetings.
• If the clinician is not clinically licensed at an independent level, the clinician will obtain clinical supervision and actively work towards clinical licensure. This may be offered in-house or with an outside supervisor.
• The clinician will become familiar with, and follow, agency policies and procedures.
• The clinician will maintain confidentiality with respect to HIPAA and other privacy laws pertinent to the nature of the services provided.
• The clinician will regularly supervise and/or collaborate with other treatment team members as a best-practice form of meeting a client’s behavioral health treatment needs.
