Position SummaryThe Maître d’ oversees all front-of-house operations, creating a seamless, welcoming, and refined experience for every guest. This role manages the dining room flow, directs hosts and servers, and ensures that Lucille’s polished, upscale atmosphere is consistently delivered. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Welcome and seat guests with warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail, creating a memorable first impression. Oversee dining room operations, ensuring smooth service flow, appropriate pacing, and timely table turns. Lead, mentor, and support hosts, servers, and support staff to maintain polished, attentive service standards. Collaborate with the General Manager and culinary leadership team on service standards, menu launches, special events, and VIP experiences. Handle guest concerns promptly and gracefully, maintaining a high standard of satisfaction. Conduct daily dining room walkthroughs to ensure cleanliness, organization, and an upscale environment. Model exceptional hospitality and professionalism, setting up the tone for the entire front-of-house team. Qualifications Previous experience as a Maître d’, Front-of-House Manager, or similar role in a fine-dining, upscale, or high-volume restaurant. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to coach and inspire a team. Deep knowledge of reservation systems (OpenTable, Resy, Toast), dining room flow, and guest relations. Calm under pressure, highly professional, and attentive to the smallest service details. Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs. Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
