Lucas James Talent Partners partnering with a well-established nonprofit organization near Chicago O’Hare Airport that is undergoing a major HR transformation and is looking to add an HR Operations Manager to their growing People team.
This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for someone who thrives in HR Operations, HRIS, process optimization, compliance, and organizational effectiveness.
Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid – 2 days onsite weekly near O’Hare Airport - Flexible days and start times)
Compensation: $140k-$150k base exceptional benefits

What You’ll Own:
• Lead and optimize HR Operations processes, systems, and governance initiatives
• Serve as a strategic partner to HR leadership during a large-scale HR modernization effort
• Oversee HRIS administration, data integrity, reporting, compliance, and process improvement initiatives
• Partner cross-functionally with Payroll, Total Rewards, HR leadership, and technology teams
• Drive operational excellence, automation, workflow improvements, and team effectiveness
• Mentor and develop HR Operations team members
What We’re Looking For:
• 6–8 years of progressive HR experience with strong HR Operations leadership experience
• Deep experience with HRIS platforms such as Workday, UKG, or SAP SuccessFactors
• Strong understanding of HR compliance, governance, employee data management, and reporting
• Proven ability to improve processes, implement systems, and operate in evolving environments
• Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills
