The HR Manager will play a key role in the launch and ongoing operation of a new manufacturing facility. This position will help establish the site’s workforce, HR infrastructure, and employee practices while supporting the day-to-day HR needs of a growing manufacturing operation.
The ideal candidate has strong HR generalist and manager-level experience, in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, or industrial environment. This role requires someone who can work hands-on, build structure in a new site environment, and partner effectively with operations, employees, and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead HR activities for site launch, including workforce planning, recruiting, onboarding, compliance, and communications
- Support high-volume hiring across production, warehouse, technical, and professional roles
- Manage full-cycle recruitment and staffing vendor relationships
- Establish and standardize HR policies, procedures, and site practices
- Serve as a trusted advisor to managers on employee relations, performance, and policy matters
- Partner cross-functionally with operations, safety, payroll, and corporate HR
- Support onboarding, training readiness, and workforce planning
- Oversee core HR functions including employee relations, benefits, leave administration, payroll support, and compliance
- Maintain accurate HR records and ensure audit readiness
- Drive employee engagement and culture-building initiatives
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and employee experience
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field
- 8 years of HR experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments
- Experience supporting a new site launch, startup, or rapid growth environment
- Strong HR generalist background across employee relations, recruiting, compliance, and HR operations
- Experience with high-volume hiring and workforce planning
- Knowledge of employment law and HR compliance
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to build structure and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
- HR certification (SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR) preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
