The Machine Control Specialist is a technology expert who sells, installs, supports, and maintains advanced grade control systems on construction equipment and attachments. This individual will be motivated and committed to meeting customers’ technology needs, growing market share, maintaining established levels of gross profit, and exceeding sales targets.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the main point of contact for customers using technology such as total stations, 3D modeling, and telematics.
- Manage the entire sales process by ensuring excellent customer experience.
- Works with customers and prospects to provide solutions to their grade control needs.
- Quotes, negotiates, and closes on all machine control sales and rental opportunities.
- Prospect and qualify new accounts to achieve revenue growth goals.
- Track and forecast proposals, manage market awareness, and lost sales within the CRM software.
- Assist with on-site installation, calibration, and configuration of machine control systems on equipment including setting up base stations for GPS and other site positioning systems.
- Provide expert training to customers and their operators to ensure they can effectively use the machine control systems.
- Work with all departments to swiftly respond to any customer service issues.
- Attend training and sales meetings to stay current with equipment and grade control offerings and sales promotions.
- Proven work experience with machine control technology in the construction or a related construction equipment field is required.
- Understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
- Strong work ethic and team first mentality.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer literacy, Microsoft Office proficiency, and CRM software experience.
- High school degree.
- BS degree in Business or related technical field would be preferred.
