Role description

OpenSource DBA

Key Responsibilities

• Administer PostgreSQL databases across production test and development environments


• Perform installation configuration patching and upgrades


• Manage HADR using replication and failover tools Patroni repmgr


• Implement and validate backuprecovery strategies pgBackRest Barman WAL archiving


• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues


• Optimize queries indexing and database configurations


• Provide L2L3 support and perform root cause analysis


• Ensure database security including access control encryption and auditing


• Support ITILbased incident change and problem management

Required Qualifications

• 6-10 years of PostgreSQL DBA experience


• Strong knowledge of replication backuprecovery and performance tuning


• Experience in 24x7 production support environments


• Proficiency in Linux systems and SQL


• Experience handling incidents and escalations

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with cloud platforms AWS RDSAurora PostgreSQL Azure PostgreSQL
