OpenSource DBA
Key Responsibilities
- Administer PostgreSQL databases across production test and development environments
- Perform installation configuration patching and upgrades
- Manage HADR using replication and failover tools Patroni repmgr
- Implement and validate backuprecovery strategies pgBackRest Barman WAL archiving
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues
- Optimize queries indexing and database configurations
- Provide L2L3 support and perform root cause analysis
- Ensure database security including access control encryption and auditing
- Support ITILbased incident change and problem management
Required Qualifications
- 6-10 years of PostgreSQL DBA experience
- Strong knowledge of replication backuprecovery and performance tuning
- Experience in 24x7 production support environments
- Proficiency in Linux systems and SQL
- Experience handling incidents and escalations
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with cloud platforms AWS RDSAurora PostgreSQL Azure PostgreSQL
