Job Title: OraclePostgreSQL DBA

Role Summary

• We are looking for a seasoned Oracle Database Administrator with strong expertise in Oracle GoldenGate and PostgreSQL to manage mission critical database environments


• The role requires hands on experience in high availability replication backup recovery performance tuning and production support across on prem and cloud platforms

Key Responsibilities

• Administer Oracle databases 11g12c18c19c across production and non production environments


• Design implement and support Oracle GoldenGate Classic Microservices for real time data replication


• Install configure and manage PostgreSQL databases on prem and cloud AWS RDSAurora Azure OCI


• Perform backup recovery and DR operations using RMAN Data Pump and PostgreSQL tools


• Monitor and tune database performance using AWR ASH OEM pgstat EXPLAIN plans


• Manage high availability solutions Oracle RAC Data Guard Active Data Guard PostgreSQL replication


• Apply patching upgrades and security fixes while ensuring minimal downtime


• Support database migrations and upgrades including Oracle to PostgreSQL


• Automate routine DBA activities using shell scripting Python Ansible


• Provide L2L3 production support RCA and on call support for critical incidents


• Work closely with application infrastructure and cloud teams


• Mandatory Primary Skills


• Oracle DBA 7 years enterprise experience


• Oracle GoldenGate installation configuration monitoring troubleshooting


• PostgreSQL DBA administration backup replication performance tuning


• Backup Recovery RMAN Data Pump pgdump pgrestore


• Performance Tuning SQL tuning AWRASH PostgreSQL monitoring


• High Availability Oracle RAC Data Guard PostgreSQL streaminglogical replication


• LinuxUnix administration


• Production support in 24x7 enterprise environments


• Good to Have Secondary Skills


• Cloud databases AWS RDSAurora PostgreSQL OCI Azure


• Oracle GoldenGate Classic Microservices migration


• Oracle to PostgreSQL migration tools ORA2PG DMS


• Automation using Ansible Terraform CICD pipelines


• Monitoring tools OEM Dynatrace CloudWatch Prometheus


• BFS domain experience Banking Financial Services

Certifications Preferred

• Oracle Certified Professional OCP


• PostgreSQL or Cloud certifications AWS Azure OCI

Soft Skills

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills


• Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination


• Ability to work in high pressure production environments
