Role Overview
Must Have skills-
The EDM Consultant is responsible for designing implementing and supporting Enterprise Data Management EDM solutions to ensure consistent governed and high-quality reference and master data across enterprise systems The role works closely with business IT and data governance teams to manage hierarchies’ metadata and data integrations
Key Responsibilities
EDM Configuration Development
Configure and maintain EDM applications.
Design and implement data models, hierarchies, and validation rules
Create and maintain properties and relationship definitions
Build and manage workflows and approvals
Implement validations and derivations for data quality and governance
Data Governance Quality
Support enterprise data governance frameworks
Enforce data standards naming conventions and controls
Perform data validation reconciliation and impact analysis
Support audit compliance and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with data owners and stewards to resolve data issues
Integration Automation
Integrate EDM with downstream and upstream systems DWH EPM ERP Reporting
Develop and manage data imports and exports
Automate data loads and extracts using batch processes or APIs
Support metadata and hierarchy synchronization across systems
Reporting Analysis
Build and support standard and ad hoc reports
Perform data comparisons across versions and environments
Analyses hierarchy changes and their downstream impact
Operations Support
Provide L2 L3 production support for EDM applications
Troubleshoot data hierarchy and application issues
Maintain technical and functional documentation
Required Skills Experience(Core Skills)
Experience with EDM platforms Enterprise Data Management Cloud
Strong understanding of master data reference data and metadata management
Hierarchy and relationship modelling
Data governance and data quality concepts
Technical Skills
Basic scripting knowledge Windows batch
Data integration concepts ETL batch processing
XML CSV flat file handling
Functional Knowledge
Financial hierarchies Chart of Accounts Legal Entity Cost Centre
Risk finance regulatory or reporting systems
Tools Environment
EDMC tools
ITSM ticketing tools
SDLC and Agile methodologies
Nice to have
Technical skills- SQL Oracle SQL Server
Functional Knowledge- Experience working in Banking Financial Services or Insurance domains preferred
Tools Env- Databases Oracle SQL Server, Version control systems
