Role description
Job Title: Specialist - Architecture
Role Overview:
- The Technical Architect will be responsible for providing technical expertise and architectural support for LifeComm applications
- The role requires strong hands-on experience with mainframe technologies particularly COBOL, JCL, and Assembler and the ability to support and guide development teams in a Life Health insurance application landscape
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical oversight and architectural guidance for LifeComm applications
- Design review and support application components using mainframe technologies
- Perform hands-on development analysis and issue resolution using COBOL and JCL
- Leverage Assembler skills for performance critical components and low-level problem resolution
- Support project delivery by ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to analyze requirements and propose technical solutions
- Participate in technical discussions reviews and impact analysis for project enhancements
Primary Skills (Mandatory):
- Strong hands-on experience with COBOL
- Proficiency in JCL for batch processing and job control
- Assembler expertise key and critical skill requirement
- Experience supporting and enhancing LifeComm applications
Good to have skills:
- Life Health insurance domain knowledge
- Familiarity with Agile principles and practices

Salary : $120,000 - $130,000
