Essbase Administrator (Senior Specialist - Data Engineering)

Role description

Title: Essbase Administrator / Oracle Cloud Systems Administrator

 Location:  Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid 3 days onsite)

• Creating new user accounts, managing group memberships, assigning Identity Domain or service‑specific admin roles.

·         Managing paid orders, upsizing/updating services, terminating subscriptions

·         Viewing and monitoring utilization and status of all Oracle Cloud services across identity domains and data centres

·         Activating new services and creating service instances (databases, analytics, integration)

·         Manages Oracle Essbase on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

·         Provision Essbase 21c using OCI Marketplace stack, including VCN, load balancer, and metadata DB.

·         Integrate Essbase with OCI IAM / Identity Domains for authentication; manage Essbase users and roles within Essbase.

·         Apply Essbase patches and upgrades using Oracle‑supported Essbase update procedures; manage VM health and logs

·         Monitors Essbase sessions, checks active calculation scripts, manages locks, and terminates sessions

·         Responsible for configuring backup and recovery procedures for Essbase data on OCI.

·         Essbase Web Interface, Cube Designer for Excel, REST APIs
