JOB DESCRIPTION
The position of Desktop Support Analyst performs troubleshooting repair and preventative
- maintenance of end user computing equipment and peripheral equipment at deputed locations Essential duties for the position include but are not limited to the following
- Handle Incidents service requests and break fix support following the priority and service levels
- Continued monitoring of Service Management tool for new incidentsservice request
- Escalation of incidents to appropriate groupperson incase if the issue should be taken care by another team
- Incident troubleshooting and repairing workstations and Peripherals to proper operations
- Document the details of incident resolution
- Repair and replace Failed components
- Replace nonoperating equipments with equipment from operating stock
- Update client asset management system to indicate any changes in the equipment status
- Provide monthly review of inventory level
- Desktop install move add changes and deletion IMACD
- Installation of workstations network printers peripherals including network patch cable verification installation replacement
- Manage support for removable approved external devices
- Provide smart hand support for Server racking cabling hard reboots at staffed locations
- Installation verification troubleshooting WiFi access points with Remote engineers
- Microsoft Office productivity tools support
- Conference room audio video WIFI and teleconference support
- Maintaining spare equipment and parts inventory
- Printer and Multifunction copier support
- Providing basic instructions on the use of IT equipments and softwares
- Undertake repairs and preventive maintenance of equipments in accordance with manufacturers recommendation
- Break fix support for all end user computing devices ie Laptops desktops Peripherals Desk phones Video and audio conference devices
- Installing removing and support for Desktop OS or any client approved softwares
- Management of desktop computing hardware and software inventory record
- Maintain spare pools at staffed locations
- OnSite Hands and Feet support for IT Infrastructure Network Storage and compute
- Escalate product related issues and hardware Software bugs to client or 3rd party provider as appropriate
- Trigger disposal process of assets Actual disposable will be carried out by client
- Physical destruction of drives only if they cannot be wiped electronically
- Installs Moves Adds and changes IMAC confirm requirements Scope and acquire approval assign to appropriate team confirm schedule and verify completion
JOB REQUIREMENTS QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience Requires 7 years of related work experience
- Sound knowledge of Operating system troubleshooting
- Sound knowledge of building machines for new joiners
- Installing upgrading and migrating to Windows latest version
- Deploying Windows operating system in large enterprises
- Configuring hardware and applications
- Configuring network connectivity Monitoring and maintaining systems that run Windows operating system
- Certifications Preferrable MCSA Windows MCSE Desktop Infrastructure
