Job Title: GCP Big Data Engineer with DBT
Location: Houston, Texas

Job Description-
We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Engineer with strong expertise in DBT and Google Cloud Platform GCP BigQuery Candidate will possess experience in production support during onshore hours The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing client escalations during onshore hours support designing scalable data solutions and ensuring highquality delivery of data engineering projects
Key Responsibilities
Act as the primary point of contact for client issue handling and escalations during onshore Hours ensuring timely resolution and communication
Lead and manage production support activities during onshore hours including monitoring troubleshooting and ensuring SLA adherence
Design develop and optimize robust data pipelines and transformation workflows using DBT
Build and maintain scalable highperformance data solutions on GCP BigQuery
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to translate business requirements into effective data models and solutions
Drive performance optimization cost management and adherence to best practices within cloudbased data environments
Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers promoting knowledge sharing and best practices
Required Skills and Experience
Proven expertise in DBT for data transformation and modeling
Strong handson experience with GCP BigQuery including schema design query optimization and performance tuning
Demonstrated ability to handle client issues and production escalations effectively
Advanced proficiency in SQL with experience in managing complex queries and large datasets
Excellent communication problemsolving and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Secondary Skills
Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow
Knowledge of CICD processes and version control systems eg Git
Familiarity with data governance security and compliance best practices
Exposure to BI and visualization tools eg Power BI Looker Tableau
