Role Overview: We are seeking a seasoned MDM Functional Consultant to lead the Master Data Management (MDM) strategy and design for our Commercial Banking division. This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, data owners, and project sponsors to analyze data, define the MDM roadmap, and build scalable functional designs. The ideal candidate will bring deep domain expertise in banking, strong communication skills, and an agile mindset to drive business-aligned data solutions
Key Responsibilities
• Engage directly with business teams to understand data challenges and functional use cases.
• Define and document the MDM strategy, roadmap, and governance framework.
• Lead functional design workshops and translate business requirements into MDM solutions.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure alignment between functional and technical design.
• Analyse existing data sources and recommend data standardization and cleansing strategies.
• Support Agile ceremonies and contribute to iterative delivery of MDM capabilities.
• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Must-Have Skills:
MDM – Expertise 12 years in Master Data Management across multiple domains.
Banking Domain – Knowledge Proven experience in Commercial Banking data structures and business processes.
Functional Design- Ability to create functional specifications, data models, and processflows.
Stakeholder Engagement - Strong communication and facilitation skills with business teams and sponsors.
Agile Mindset - Experience working in Agile environments and delivering in sprints.
MDM Tools Knowledge - Hands-on experience with leading MDM platforms (e.g., Informatica, Stibo, SAP MDG, OracleMDM).
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Data Governance - Experience in setting up governance frameworks and data stewardship models.
Cloud Platforms - Familiarity with cloud-based MDM deployments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Regulatory Compliance - Understanding of banking regulations impacting data management (e.g., BCBS 239, GDPR).
Data Quality Tools - Exposure to data profiling and cleansing tools.
