Role Overview
The Salesforce Marketing Cloud Core Platform Architect is responsible for designing implementing and optimizing scalable Salesforce solutions across Marketing Cloud and the broader Salesforce ecosystem Sales Service Commerce and Data Cloud This role bridges business requirements with technical architecture ensuring secure highperformance and futureready implementations
Key Responsibilities
Solution Architecture Design
Lead endtoend architecture for Salesforce Marketing Cloud SFMC including Journey Builder Email Studio Automation Studio Mobile Studio Contact Builder and Personalization Interaction Studio
Define crosscloud architecture integrating Marketing Cloud with Sales Cloud Service Cloud Commerce Cloud and Data Cloud
Design data models segmentation strategies and automation workflows for personalized customer journeys
Establish architectural standards governance and best practices for Salesforce implementations
Integration Data Management
Architect integrations between Salesforce and external systems using APIs RESTSOAP MuleSoft ETL tools
Implement Data Cloud CDP capabilities data streams identity resolution calculated insights and activations
Ensure data governance security and compliance GDPR CCPA
Technical Leadership
Conduct technical design sessions document architecture and provide oversight during development
Mentor developers and admins on AMPscript SSJS SQL and Salesforce configuration
Review solution designs and code for scalability and performance
Stakeholder Collaboration
Translate complex technical concepts for business and executive stakeholders
Work closely with marketing IT and data teams to align technology strategy with business goals
Required Skills Experience
6 years of experience in Salesforce ecosystem with 3 years in SFMC architecture
Deep knowledge of SFMC modules Journey Builder Email Studio Automation Studio Mobile Studio Interaction Studio
Strong expertise in Salesforce Data Cloud and crosscloud integrations
Proficiency in AMPscript SSJS SQL and data management
Familiarity with MuleSoft Snowflake AWSGCP and APIbased integrations
Salesforce certifications
Marketing Cloud Consultant Developer Architect
Data Cloud Consultant preferred
Application Architect or System Architect a plus
Soft Skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management
Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Strong problemsolving and leadership skills
