Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste efficiently
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning to support chefs and cooks
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables, resetting dining areas, and ensuring guest spaces are tidy and welcoming
- Handle manual lifting of supplies, ingredients, and equipment following safe lifting practices to prevent injury
- Serve food and beverages to guests promptly and courteously, ensuring a positive dining experience
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and payment handling with accuracy
- Follow food safety standards diligently by adhering to proper food handling procedures and maintaining hygiene protocols
Experience
- Previous food service experience in restaurants or hospitality settings is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is equally valued
- Familiarity with kitchen operations including cleaning routines, food handling, and basic food preparation techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during shifts involving stock replenishment or equipment movement
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and provide excellent customer service in person
- Knowledge of POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus but training will be provided
- Experience in guest services within a hospitality environment enhances your ability to deliver memorable experiences
