Duties
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, assembling ingredients, and plating dishes to ensure timely service.
- Maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen by cleaning workstations, utensils, and equipment regularly.
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables swiftly and efficiently to keep the dining area tidy.
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies and ingredients following safe lifting practices.
- Serve food to guests accurately using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring order accuracy and guest satisfaction.
- Provide in-person customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions about menu items, and addressing special requests professionally.
- Support food running activities by delivering orders from the kitchen to tables promptly while maintaining food safety standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with safe lifting practices.
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling techniques.
- Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and interact with guests.
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
