About The Role
Reporting to the President with a dotted line to the Head Office in Australia, this senior role is pivotal in planning, administering and reviewing the financial and accounting activities of
all US-entities, including budgeting, cashflow, forecasting, reporting, payroll, tax compliance, inventory control, import cost accounting, project-related financial oversight, and administration.
You will be required to undertake an array of duties required from an all-rounder, including ownership of the following:
- leadership & strategy;
- payroll & taxation;
- inventory & cost control;
- imports & international cost accounting;
- project accounting & budgeting;
- management accounting;
- cash flow & finance management;
- reporting & analysis; and
- general administration.
You will bring a strong background in finance and accounting, with hands-on experience managing cross-functional financial operations in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
About You
This is a Senior-level position and in order to be successful, you will need to meet the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field;
- CPA, CMA, or MBA.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in financial management or senior accounting roles.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Hands-on experience with payroll systems and tax filings.
- Proficiency in inventory and cost accounting principles.
- Experience with import/export processes and international finance is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency with financial software (NetSuite).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or import/export business is not essential but nice to have.
