Opportunity:
Our Fresno office is currently seeking a talented Generalist Education Attorney to join our team. With at least 3 years of experience, this individual will be supporting public school districts in a wide range of education law matters.
This is an exciting opportunity for an attorney passionate about public service and making a meaningful impact in California's K-12 education system.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide legal counsel to K-12 public school districts on a wide range of education law matters, including governance, student issues, contracts, and compliance.
- Advise on student rights and discipline, Title IX, special education (IDEA/Section 504), and public records issues.
- Represent clients in administrative hearings and proceedings, such as those before the Office for Civil Rights (OCR).
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
- Admission to the State Bar of California and in good standing.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Passion for advocating for educational institutions and public agencies.
Salary: $125,000 - $225,000/year
