The Loyola University New Orleans Admissions Fellow – Campus Visits & Events will support the Office of Admissions by coordinating and delivering high-quality campus visit experiences for prospective students and their families. This position assists with the planning and execution of campus visits, group tours, and major recruitment events while ensuring a welcoming and informative experience for visitors to campus.
The Admissions Fellow will represent Loyola University New Orleans and its programs to prospective students, their families, high school counselors, and other stakeholders through campus visits, presentations, special events, and individual interactions. The Fellow will assist in developing relationships that support the recruitment of prospective students while maintaining accurate records and providing operational support for campus visit programming.
This is a full-time, one-year position with an option for re-hiring as a second-year Fellow or possible promotion to Admissions Counselor at the end of the position’s term.Assist with hosting prospective student visits and ensuring a positive, welcoming campus visit experience.
Work closely with the Assistant Director of Campus Visits & Events and other key campus staff and faculty to coordinate and deliver high-quality campus visits.
Provide presentations to prospective students and their families during campus visits and special visit programs, as needed.
Assist with campus tours and group visits by coordinating logistics, scheduling appointments, greeting visiting groups, ensuring a smooth flow of the visit experience, and introducing visitors to appropriate campus personnel.
Assist with creating and managing campus visit events and records within the university’s CRM system and maintain accurate records of campus visit attendance and participation.
Engage with prospective students and families visiting Thomas Hall by providing information about the university, the admissions process, and the campus experience.
Assist with the recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and training of student ambassadors.
Support the coordination and supervision of student ambassadors and interns by maintaining accurate records of scheduled and completed work shifts.
Assist with campus tour presentations and other visitor-facing programming as needed.
Support the planning and execution of major Admissions events such as Fall Open House, Wolf Pack Preview Day, and other recruitment events throughout the year.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Campus Visits & Events or other members of the Admissions leadership team.

Developing and maintaining a thorough, detailed and accurate knowledge of college programs and services and promoting these services to prospective students and other stakeholders.
Developing and maintaining positive, collaborative working relationships with other division and college staff.
Handling sensitive and confidential information in a business-like manner.
Projecting and maintaining a positive, professional image of the college when meeting or talking with students or other outside contacts.
Assisting others, as necessary, in keeping work current, meeting deadlines, or spreading workloads equitably.
Willingness to travel extensively, often working beyond the normal 8-4:30 day and Monday to Friday week.
Ability to work with a high degree of independence within institutional and division policies, procedures and performance guidelines.
Other duties as assigned.Minimum bachelor's degree required.
Minimum of one year experience in admissions, sales, public-relations, or other customer-service related positions. Student worker experience will also be accepted.
Initiative, imagination and organizational qualities to assist in the development of programs and promote the university to various publics (i.e. prospective students and
parents, secondary school administrators and teachers, etc.) so as to matriculate a sufficient number of qualified freshman and transfer students each year.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing to individuals and large groups of prospective students and their parents, secondary school personnel, alumni, current students and their parents, as well as administrators and faculty.
Willingness to acquire an understanding of the Jesuit commitment to excellence in education, diversity of the student body, social service, and the liberal arts and sciences traditions. The goals and priorities of a value-centered education must be reflected in any recruitment program and by the presentations of the admissions counselor.
Ability to develop congenial and productive working relationships with Loyola administrators, faculty, staff, students, and alumni.
Willingness to travel extensively during the Fall and Spring semesters and to work irregular hours and weekends.
Independent judgment and discretionary decision-making as they relate to the major functions of this position are required.

Physical Requirements
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Must be able to carry and transport 40 pounds of materials and/or equipment.
Must be a licensed driver of an automobile with an acceptable driving record as
determined by Loyola University’s Office of Risk Management.
Must be able and willing to travel long distances if needed, by airplane and by automobile.
Ability to perform job duties with or without reasonable accomodations.
