Responsibilities:
- Answer Phones
- Review patient information
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and billing information
- Assist with medical collections and handle patient inquiries regarding insurance billing
Experience:
- Knowledge of ICD-10 coding principles
- Experience working in a Ophthalmology office setting preferred but not necessary
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing processes
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Effective communication skills to interact with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
