What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security Guard (Days); School Year 2026-2027 position at Lowell High School 9-12?
Duties and responsibilities include being responsible for the general security of the building and the students and staff within; patrolling assigned routes on a regular basis; checking the validity of individuals' credentials; protecting against fire, theft, vandalism and unlawful entry. Work is performed under general supervision in accordance with standard procedure and prior instructions. Must exercise independent judgment to handle emergency situations. Security guard will be a first responder in emergency situations, therefore the employee must have the aptitude to successfully complete first responder training. This posiiton wears a uniform.
Experience working with young adults as a coach or mentor and/or a background in criminal justice, sociology or security related field preferred. Employees work one additional week after the close of school and one addition week before opening of school.
Work Year: 10.5 month position (with the option to work as a temporary custodian from July 1 through one week prior to start of school year)
Working Hours: 7:00 am to 3:00 pm
