Job Title: Staffing Coordinator
Reports to: HR Director
Responsibilities:
The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for performing various staffing and recruiting functions as agreed with the Administrator. In addition, the Staffing Coordinator is responsible for managing all staffing and recruiting functions for the Loving Hearts of LA-New Orleans location. The Staffing Coordinator will determine staffing needs, manage employee and client schedules to provide appropriate coverage, recruit qualified candidates to fill vacancies, conduct interviews with prospective job candidates, facilitate the hiring and onboarding processes, and assist with the preparation and execution of orientation and training. The Staffing Coordinator will ensure that the company complies with all relevant laws regarding employment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree or higher in the Human Services area, or a similar relevant field. Including but not limited to; Business Administration, Human Resources, Social Work, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Psychology, Gerontology or Rehabilitation Counseling
- Knowledge of the OCDD and OAAS funded services
- Resident of Louisiana
- Current Drivers License
- Current vehicle insurance
- Current vehicle inspection
- Driving history clearance
- Criminal background check clearance
- At least 2 years of experience in working with people who have disabilities and/or people who are elderly
- At least 2 years of experience in a Staffing Coordinator or similar role.
- At least 2 years of recruiting experience
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience
- Understanding of Labor Law and employment equity regulations
- Knowledge of HR functions and best practices
- Proficiency with standard office software and platforms. Including but not limited to: email, MS Office, Google Docs, and other related software
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent record-keeping skills
- Works comfortably under pressure and ability to adhere to deadlines
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Three valid references (Employment is preference; personal will be considered)
Essential Functions:
- Be a role model for emulating the philosophy of Loving Hearts
- Maintains strictest confidentiality; adheres to all HIPPA guidelines/ regulation
- Maintain personal and workplace safety, hygiene and cleanliness at all times
- Maintain an appropriate and professional workplace dress code
- Abide by all agency policies and procedures
- Manage the overall staffing functions of the agency
- Develop and implement staffing plans and solutions that adhere to company guidelines and maintain industry regulations.
- Communicate with Case Coordinators and HR to determine staffing needs
- Determine staffing shortfalls and report job vacancies and scheduling problems to the Administrator
- Develop work schedules by allocating employees in shifts and positions
- Address time off and vacation requests
- Lead the recruiting process to attract top candidates to fill vacancies in a timely manner
- Receive employment applications and gather information; conduct screens and interviews of new applicants
- Support the hiring process and lead the preparation and execution of initial orientation and training for all companies (Loving Hearts and L & D)
- Manage the company’s employee database tracker
- Prepare and submit reports on staffing activity and operations
- Conduct unannounced supervision visits to ensure all new hires are providing quality service; within 24 hours, and then weekly for on month, and are in compliance with company and industry regulations
- Attend and participate in weekly staff meetings
- Others duties as assigned by the HR Manager, Administrator, Regional Vice President, or Chief Executive Officer

- Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Continuous grasping and repetitive movement with fingers, hands, wrists, and arms
- Continuous reaching, alternating between shoulder level and above-shoulder-level height

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 39.0 per week
